Job summary

Moray Council is recruiting to support primary and secondary aged children with social, emotional, behavioural, and communication needs. The role promotes inclusive practice, trauma informed learning, and restorative approaches to help children achieve positive outcomes.

The post requires PVG membership or update checks. Starting salary shown below; travel between Moray locations is expected due to rural settings. Term-time hours apply, with pro rata pay and hourly rates listed.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Experience of working with children and young people with social and communication needs.
• Must include English and Maths at National 5/Standard Grade level.
• Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative; strong planning and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote inclusive practice and trauma informed learning environments.
• Deliver targeted individual and small group work programmes.
• Support wellbeing and wider achievement awards for children and young people.
• Travel between Moray work locations as required.
