Teaching Personnel in Cardiff is seeking an Unqualified Pupil Behavioural Assistant to support learners with SEMH. You will work in small groups of around 4-6 pupils and may provide 1:1 support to those with more complex needs, helping them re-engage with education.
The role emphasises trauma-informed, restorative approaches, calm patience, and strong relationships. No prior experience is required; DBS and EWC registration are requested, with driving licence helpful.

As an integral member of a dynamic team in our School, you will work alongside specialist behaviour practitioners and teachers to support learners who present with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). Pupils may have experienced challenges in mainstream settings, and many require high levels of emotional support, consistency, and relational approaches to re-engage positively with education.
Your role will be crucial in helping to create a calm, safe, and structured environment where learners feel understood and supported. You will work with small groups of around 4-6 pupils and may also deliver 1:1 support for those with more complex behavioural or emotional needs.
Every day is different, and your support will play a vital part in helping pupils rebuild trust, develop positive relationships, and move toward successful reintegration or future pathways.
