Job summary

SeeAbility in Kent is seeking a Behaviour Consultant on a full-time contract for up to 6 months to support people with learning disabilities and autism in their own homes, delivering Positive Behaviour Support within a trauma-informed approach.

You will assess needs, develop positive behaviour support plans, deliver PROACT-SCIPr-UK training to teams, and coach staff to deliver quality support while monitoring outcomes and collaborating with families and partner organisations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or a related field (e.g., Positive Behaviour Support) with at least two years of experience; or Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis with one year of professional experience.
• Experience applying behaviour analysis in real-world settings with people who have learning disabilities, autism, or trauma-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with support teams to assess, intervene and evaluate outcomes over the long term within a PBS framework.
• Deliver PROACT-SCIPr-UK training to support teams.
• Coach staff on delivering high-quality support using Active Support/other approaches.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of outcomes via periodic service reviews.
• Collaborate with families and referral partners to adapt the support model as needed.
• Ensure trauma-informed practice guides all work with individuals and teams.
