Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a Transport Team Manager to lead a busy transport operation, drive safety, compliance and staff development while delivering excellent service.

You will coach the team, manage recruitment and performance, and ensure efficient vehicle, pallet and equipment handling to meet KPI targets.

This role is on-site in the United Kingdom, offering a rewarding career with opportunities to influence the transport function across our network.

Responsibilities

• Coaching the team to reach their full potential
• Communicating openly and consistently, delivering key messages to the team at the right time
• Managing recruitment, absence, performance conduct safety and service.
• Responsible for managing commercial vehicles, cages and pallets
• PPE, vehicle checks CV servicing MOT’s, VOR’s, temperature checks, near misses to name a few!
• Allocating work considering individual/team capability and legal driving hours to achieve targets
• Carrying out good quality investigations
• And no matter what you’re doing, you’ll always be promoting and managing all safety

As Transport Team Manager, you’ll work as part of a team responsible for managing the operations, compliance and most importantly… the people! You’ll really ‘get’ the value in recognising good work in the team and making sure they are motivated will be your priority! You’ll lead the team putting safety at the forefront and working towards shared goals of delivering the best service!
