Job summary

Brakes, part of Sysco GB, is seeking an experienced Transport Team Manager to lead drivers and administrators at the Harlow depot. You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage HR issues, and keep breaks in line with working time directives while supporting planners for rerouting as required.

You will bring a Full UK Driving Licence, knowledge of CPC management, and a proven ability to drive cost-efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport operations and drivers.
• Knowledge of Transport Manager CPC preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to manage costs within budget and resolve issues promptly.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity to work within the Transport Team - part of Sysco GB within our Brakes Depot in Harlow. If you're an experienced people manager who has knowledge on Transport compliance, then we want to hear from you!

We are looking for an experienced Transport Team Manager to lead and motivate our driver colleagues along with our team of administrators. You'll be involved in a wide variety of tasks from HR, keeping a well-rounded approach to employment related issues to ensuring our drivers are taking regular breaks to keep within the working time directive to using your local area knowledge should a drop need rerouting with support from our planners. The position will be customer facing both internal and external we need someone with an ability to resolve any issues to ensure our reliable reputation is maintained.

To join us in this role, you need a Full UK Driving Licence, be keen and willing to take accountability of our fleet and workforce. You'll need to have knowledge from CPC management (Transport Manager's CPC preferrable) and strong understanding of transport compliance reinforcing the importance of getting the job done timely and safely. This is a varied role where you will be not only be ensuring all costs are in line with the budgetary requirements but also acting as the lead person in creating the correct environment for our colleagues. Leading by example you'll set and maintaining standards in service, health, safety, and compliance.
