Sysco GB, Brakes Depot in Harlow, is seeking an experienced Transport Team Manager to lead our driver and admin teams. You will oversee safety, compliance, and efficiency across transport operations while maintaining excellent service standards.

The role requires a Full UK Driving Licence, CPC management knowledge, and a proactive approach to operational leadership within a busy depot environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading drivers and admin colleagues.
• Knowledge of Transport compliance and regulations.
• Ability to resolve issues and protect Sysco GB's reputation.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate driver colleagues and administrative team.
• Ensure drivers take regular breaks to comply with working time directive.
• Coordinate with planners and manage costs within budgetary limits.
• Uphold high standards of service, safety, and compliance.

An exciting opportunity to work within the Transport Team – part of Sysco GB within our Brakes Depot in Harlow. If you’re an experienced people manager who has knowledge on Transport compliance, then we want to hear from you!

We are looking for an experienced Transport Team Manager to lead and motivate our driver colleagues along with our team of administrators. You’ll be involved in a wide variety of tasks from HR, keeping a well-rounded approach to employment related issues to ensuring our drivers are taking regular breaks to keep within the working time directive to using your local area knowledge should a drop need rerouting with support from our planners. The position will be customer facing both internal and external we need someone with an ability to resolve any issues to ensure our reliable reputation is maintained.

To join us in this role, you need aFull UK Driving Licence,be keen and willing to take accountability of our fleet and workforce. You’ll need to have knowledge from CPC management (Transport Manager's CPC preferrable)and strong understanding of transport compliance reinforcing the importance of getting the job done timely and safely. This is a varied role where you will be not only be ensuring all costs are in line with the budgetary requirements but also acting as the lead person in creating the correct environment for our colleagues. Leading by example you’ll set and maintaining standards in service, health, safety, and compliance.
