PHOENIX Healthcare Distribution Ltd in Belfast is seeking a proactive Transport Manager to lead a safe, compliant transport operation. You will manage drivers, fleet and resources to deliver excellent customer service while meeting KPIs and controlling costs.

The role requires hands-on leadership, route planning, fleet maintenance, and strict adherence to GDP, Health & Safety, and transport regulations. You will join the depot leadership team and drive performance across the operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing delivery drivers and a commercial vehicle fleet.
• Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety, transport compliance, and GDP standards.
• Confident people manager with experience in absence, discipline, and performance management.
• Highly organised with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Results-focused, dependable, and calm under pressure, with a hands-on leadership style.

Responsibilities

37.5 hours, working Monday-Friday 08.00-16.00, with flexibility required

12 month fixed term contract

The heart of the role

• Lead, motivate, and manage delivery drivers to achieve service and performance targets.
• Ensure efficient route planning, on-time departures, and fleet optimisation.
• Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety, GDP, and transport regulations.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, vehicle checks, and asset tracking.
• Act as a key member of the depot leadership team, supporting overall depot KPIs.
