Job summary

ArrowXL seeks a Transport First Line Manager for our Wigan depot, leading a two-person home delivery operation. You’ll coach and develop crews, drive performance, and ensure safety, compliance and efficient transport service. DBS checks may be required as part of pre-employment screening.

You'll manage recruitment, training and engagement, aiming to deliver reliable customer service and optimal fleet use in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience leading transport operations.
Knowledge of Road Transport Regulations.
Must hold National CPC and full UK driving licence.
Experience improving transport operations and driving performance.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate a team of service delivery crews and team leaders to drive high performance.
Maximise fleet utilisation through planning and cost control while maintaining safety and compliance.
Own legal compliance, health & safety, and transport regulations across the operation.
Identify and implement efficiency and performance improvements in Transport.
Recruit, develop and manage performance of colleagues, ensuring CPC and service standards training.
Make timely decisions to protect customer service and delivery performance with a strong commercial focus.
Manage on-site resources to meet changing customer demands.
