Job summary

Superdrug is seeking a Transport Team Leader to own daily transport operations and lead a team to perform duties efficiently and safely. You will manage ad-hoc requests, monitor staff issues with HR, and drive weekly site performance across Compliance, Delivery, People, Cost, KPI, and shrinkage.

You will mentor team members, contribute to process improvements, and ensure seamless shift handovers while aligning with company values and objectives.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and IT skills.
• Strong people management skills.
• Proven Management experience within a distribution environment or similar.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility of the daily transport operation and manage ad-hoc requests to meet business requirements.
• Motivate, coach and develop a team of colleagues to perform duties knowledgeably, efficiently and safely.
• Take ownership and monitor people management issues for permanent staff, liaising with HR for fair, policy-aligned handling.
• Oversee weekly site performance on Compliance (H&S), Delivery Performance, People, Cost, KPI, and shrinkage.
• Review and develop processes with driver management, planning and DC teams, linking to transport.
• Provide store operations with comprehensive, reliable service to optimise in-store availability via transport.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to support overall shift performance.
• Ensure effective shift handovers to incoming teams.
• Provide Transport Manager with updates and raise issues as needed.
• Contribute to a site culture aligned with company values.
• Deliver objectives set by the Transport Manager through your PDR.
