Job summary

ArrowXL is seeking a Transport First Line Manager for our Wigan depot to lead a two-person home delivery operation. You will manage Service Delivery Crews and Team Leaders, drive safety, regulatory compliance and customer service, and foster a positive culture focused on engagement and performance.

You will be responsible for coaching, resource planning and performance management to deliver efficient, compliant transport operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience leading transport teams.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Regulations.
• Hold a National CPC.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience improving transport operations.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate Service Delivery Crews and Team Leaders to drive high performance.
• Maximise fleet utilisation through planning and cost control while staying safe and compliant.
• Own legal compliance, health & safety and transport regs across the operation.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance in Transport.
• Lead recruitment, development and performance management of colleagues with CPC training.
• Make timely decisions to protect customer service and delivery performance.
• Manage on-site resources (staff, vehicles, equipment) to meet changing demand.
