Job summary

GXO is seeking a hands-on Transport First Line Manager to lead the BT contract at our Haydock site. You will drive performance while building a motivated, engaged team and a positive work culture where people feel supported and able to perform at their best.

The role is full-time and permanent, Monday–Friday 10:00–18:00 with occasional night shift cover during peak times. Benefits include pension, private medical & dental insurance, 24/7 GP, life assurance and more.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in transportation or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety principles.
• Understanding of vehicle compliance requirements and safe loading.
• Solid grasp of transportation operations, safety regulations & compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment and comply with health and safety policies.
• Prioritise GXO/DVSA compliance measures and related reporting/investigations.
• Lead accident investigations with support from QHSE and HR teams.
• Manage day-to-day GXO and agency staff across multiple shifts and sites.
