Transport Supervisor - Tewkesbury

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Location: Tewkesbury

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, shifts between 5am and 10pm, 5 days out of 7

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to assist the Site Operations Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the Tewkesbury cross dock centre. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in home delivery and working within a transport office, with some warehouse experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Support a safe, compliant cross dock and transport operation
• Ensure adherence to processes within warehouse and transport operations, on-site and on the road
• Manage operations, fleet, equipment, and resources to meet demand
• Lead by example, embodying company values and communicating effectively
• Focus on customer service, managing team performance to improve NPS
• Innovate and implement performance improvements
• Coach and mentor team members, developing talent and succession plans
• Collaborate with the Site Operations Manager to improve efficiency and implement best practices
• Oversee service and maintenance of MHE and vehicles, ensuring legal compliance
• Manage driver hours in accordance with working time legislation

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable
• Good geographical knowledge
• Extensive understanding of transport legislation
• Computer literacy
• Effective communication and influencing skills with home delivery crews
