Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to lead our onsite transport operation for packaging solutions. You will oversee daily planning, ensure on-time deliveries, manage drivers, and coordinate with internal teams to meet customer needs with safety and efficiency.

The role requires strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and proactive problem resolution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven transport management experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transport planning, routing, load fill and fleet optimisation.
• Driver debrief, supervision, holiday/absence cover, on road issues.
• Arrange couriers / third parties and oversee compliance with O Licence rules.
• Organise vehicle maintenance and repairs; collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Design, Planning and Production.

We're looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to manage our transport operation at our manufacturing site, ensuring the safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of packaging solutions to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service. What You'll Be Doing

• Managing daily transport planning, routing, load fill and fleet optimisation
• Driver debrief, supervising, holiday/absence cover, on road issues
• Arranging couriers / third parties
• Adherence to O Licence rules and compliance
• Organising vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Collaborating with other departments, e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Design, Planning and Production

• Reports, Admin, Record keeping

  Proven transport management experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment

• Strong knowledge of HGV operations, driver hours, and transport compliance
• Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across the business
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• CPC in Transport Management is desirable but not essential
• Planning forward thinking
• Organised with attention to detail

• Good Geographical knowledge
