Job summary

RE Recruitment is supporting a Cheltenham-based specialist equipment and logistics business to hire a Transport Supervisor on a full-time, permanent basis. You will oversee scheduling, route planning and driver management to maximise fleet efficiency.

The successful candidate will have strong regulatory knowledge, proven team leadership, and a clean UK driving licence. The role offers £35,000-£40,000 and standard Monday-Friday hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport/logistics or fleet supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations and vehicle compliance.
• Proven experience managing drivers or transport teams.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence; HGV/CPC qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily vehicle scheduling and route planning to maximise fleet efficiency.
• Managing in-house drivers and subcontracted transport providers, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Coordinating deliveries and collections of specialist equipment and associated products.
• Overseeing vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections and driver compliance.
• Monitoring transport KPIs, costs and performance, identifying opportunities for operational improvement.

Our client, a well-established and growing business operating within a specialist equipment and logistics environment, based in Cheltenham, has an exciting new opportunity for a Transport Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued business growth.

The successful Transport Supervisor should have:

• Demonstrable experience in a transport, logistics or fleet supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations, vehicle compliance and route planning
• Proven experience managing and motivating drivers or transport teams
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• A full, clean UK driving licence; HGV/CPC qualifications would be advantageous

In this role, the Transport Supervisor will be responsible for:
