Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee our transport operation at our manufacturing site, ensuring safe, efficient and on-time delivery of packaging solutions.

The role suits a proactive supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at problem-solving and is passionate about delivering exceptional service. CPC in Transport Management is desirable; MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport management within manufacturing, logistics or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of HGV operations, driver hours and transport compliance.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• CPC in Transport Management is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transport planning, routing, load fill and fleet optimisation.
• Driver debrief, supervision, holiday/absence cover, on road issues.
• Arrange couriers / third parties.
• Adherence to O Licence rules and compliance.
• Organise vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Design, Planning and Production.
• Reports, Admin, Record keeping.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing daily transport planning, routing, load fill and fleet optimisation

• Collaborating with other departments, e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Design, Planning and Production

What We're Looking For

• Proven transport management experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment
