Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a Transport Senior Supervisor in Louth to lead daily transport planning, manage site planners and ensure KPI targets are met. The role reports to the Depot Manager and offers a £30,000 per annum salary with Monday to Friday, 12pm - 8pm hours.

You will develop efficient routes, maximise vehicle capacity, ensure compliance with tachograph rules, WTD and transport legislation, and maintain safety standards while delivering goods on time and in full.

Qualifications

• Must have people management experience in a busy Transport office.
• Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislation.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
• IT literacy and familiarity with transport systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Able to analyse and develop cost-effective transport routes.

Responsibilities

• Plan customer deliveries using on-site software to meet delivery windows.
• Liaise with customers regarding delays and possible issues with delivery.
• Coordinate late load reports with deadlines.
• Ensure Site Planners comply with Working Time Directive.
• Regularly download Driver cards for analysis.
• Ensure loads meet safety standards and comply with transport legislation.

Job title: Transport Senior Supervisor

Department: Transport

Reports to: Depot Manager

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the execution of transport plans ensuring transport and network SLA's/KPI's are achieved.

Responsible for developing and building efficient routes whilst maximising vehicle capacity, ensuring all work is distributed whilst complying with Transport Legislation, Health & Safety, and customer service requirements.

Ensuring that the customer's products are on time and in full using the most cost-effective means possible and best use of available resources including maximising the utilisation of our clients Drivers in line with current driver hours and WTD legislation.

Ensure the transport planning operations are in line with budgeted costs and achieve all contractual KPI's

Key Duties and Accountabilities:

• Ensure that your Site Planners plan all relevant customer deliveries utilising the software available on site to ensure delivery windows are met.
• Liaise with the Customer as required in relation to delays and possible issues with delivery.
• Co-ordinate a late load report in line with operational requirements and deadlines.
• Ensure your Site Planners are compliant with the Working Time Directive.
• Ensure that the Site Planners regularly Download Driver cards for analysis
• Ensure that Site Planners Comply with all Transport legislation reducing tachograph infringements to below the company target and adhering to WTD regulations.
• Ensure that Site Planners are aware that the loads meet safety standards
