Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Transport Supervisor to join the Doncaster site and oversee day-to-day transport operations within a busy contract. This role requires coordinating dispatch, managing drivers, and ensuring compliance with regulations while supporting administration tasks.

You will collaborate with the planner, drivers and customers to ensure smooth operations, generate KPI reports, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a transport environment and knowledge of the Working Time Directive and EU drivers' hours.
• Excellent communication at all levels.
• Strong knowledge of UK geography.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Aufgaben

• Support the Transport Manager in guiding and energising the transport team, ensuring resources are used effectively to deliver outstanding performance and client satisfaction.
• Take charge of transport operations, from dispatch debriefs to monitoring work in progress, keeping everything on track.
• Work closely with our planner and customers to ensure smooth operations and proactive planning.
• Manage and debrief drivers, optimizing routes and resources for maximum efficiency.
• Produce insightful reports and KPIs, making recommendations that improve performance and compliance.
• Monitor Health & Safety and compliance, ensuring everything meets company and legal requirements.
• Handle queries across email, phone, and face-to-face interactions with professionalism and confidence.
• Provide hands-on support during breakdowns and operational challenges.
• Foster positive relationships across the team, offering support and collaboration every step of the way.

Job Description

Are you passionate about transport and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic logistics company? We are currently seeking a Transport Supervisor to join our team at the Doncaster site. This position will be working within the transport team and will involve all aspect of the transport administration processes and coordination of the day to day running of this busy contract.

• Previous experience working in a transport environment, including knowledge of working time directive and EU driver's hours.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Critical attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines.
• Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proficiency in MS packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
