Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to lead a busy, temperature-controlled transport operation servicing the Greene King network. You will work with drivers, planners and warehouse teams to ensure deliveries are completed safely, legally and on time while upholding compliance and customer service.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with rotating shifts (04:00-12:00 and 12:00-20:00) Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport teams in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation including drivers hours and WTD.
• Proven ability to coach and develop drivers and operational colleagues.
• CPC and IOSH qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transport operation ensuring deliveries are completed safely and legally and on time.
• Manage, coach and develop drivers, team leaders and operational colleagues.
• Monitor transport KPIs, investigate issues and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Ensure full compliance with operator licence obligations and company policies.
• Collaborate with planning, warehouse and customer teams to resolve challenges and drive continuous improvement.
