Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to lead a busy, temperature-controlled transport operation for the Greene King network.

You will work closely with drivers, planners and warehouse teams to ensure safe, on-time deliveries while complying with all regulations and customer service standards. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week on rotating shifts (04:00-12:00 and 12:00-20:00), Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport teams in a large, fast-paced logistics environment.
• Knowledge of transport legislation including drivers hours and WTD.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• National / international CPC and IOSH desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transport operation ensuring deliveries are completed safely and legally and on time.
• Manage, coach and develop drivers, team leaders and operational colleagues.
• Monitor transport KPI’s; investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Ensure full compliance with operator licence obligations and company policies.
• Work closely with planning, warehouse and customer teams to resolve challenges, improve efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

Join GXO as a Transport Shift Manager and take responsibility for leading a busy, temperature-controlled transport operation that plays a critical role in servicing the Greene King network. Working closely with drivers, planners and warehouse teams, you'll ensure deliveries are completed safely, legally and on time while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for a transport professional who enjoys leading teams, solving operational challenges and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced logistics environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern of 04:00-12:00 and 12:00-20:00. Shifts are worked Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday on a rotational basis, providing operational support across the full transport operation.
