Job summary

Brakes, the UK’s largest foodservice supplier, is recruiting a Transport Shift Manager in Park Royal. You’ll lead a shift of 100-170 people, ensure transport standards, budgets and targets are met, and oversee on-time deliveries to customers.

Office-based with occasional visits to our multi-temperature warehouse, you’ll use data to drive performance, manage costs, and develop team capability. CPC training will be supported if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team and driving performance.
• Use data insights to improve department processes.
• Prioritise customer needs to deliver solutions.
• Knowledge of DVLA regulations affecting drivers.
• Ability to drive change by influencing others to see the bigger picture.
• Strong stakeholder management and two-way feedback culture.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP and transport systems.
• CPC certification or willingness to obtain within first year.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall shift success and manage budgets/targets.
• Direct a 100-170 person team and keep them motivated.
• Coordinate transport to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
• Monitor costs, location of cages, and development plans.
• Adapt plans based on changing information.
• Office-based with occasional visits to the warehouse.
