Job summary

Brakes, part of Sysco, is recruiting a Transport Team Manager in Thetford. You’ll lead a shift of ~20 staff, ensure transport standards, budgets and targets are met, and drive performance in a multi-temperature warehouse environment.

This office-based role includes occasional site visits and requires CPC or willingness to obtain CPC within first year. You’ll use data insights and stakeholder input to improve processes, manage road transport costs, and support development of your team in a

Qualifications

• Experience using data insights to improve department processes.
• Ability to prioritise customer needs to deliver solutions.
• Knowledge of DVLA regulations affecting drivers.
• Proven ability to drive change through influencing others.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP and transport systems.
• CPC qualification or willingness to obtain CPC within first year.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall success of your shift, ensuring transport standards, budgets and targets are met.
• Manage a team of circa 20 people, keeping them motivated and on-task.
• Office-based with occasional visits to the multi-temperature warehouse and monitor equipment and transport costs.
• Course-correct plans based on changing information and data insights.
• Support development and continuous improvement of department processes.
