Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Wales is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to take charge of daily transport operations from the Gwent area. You will lead a dynamic team to achieve excellence across the transport network and drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency and service.

The role requires previous transport management experience, the International CPC qualification, and strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Proven transport management experience in a logistics setting.
• Hold International CPC Qualification (essential).
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Act as nominated Transport Shift Manager on the Standard National & International Operator's Licence and ensure compliance with all undertakings.
• Ensure legal compliance across the fleet: drivers' hours, Working Time Directive, tachograph rules and licence checks.
• Keep transport systems up to date and accurate: Key2, Microlise, Tachomaster, Fuel ICE.
• Plan training and development for all drivers, including CPC (DQC) hours and refresher training.
• Investigate road incidents, vehicle damage and near misses; implement corrective actions.

Shift patterns: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm & Friday 8am to 2pm

• Investigate all road traffic incidents, vehicle damage and near misses, and put corrective actions in place
