Job summary

GXO is seeking a Transport Shift Manager for our B&Q operation in Branston, United Kingdom. You’ll lead a team of drivers, ensuring safe, efficient deliveries and day-to-day transport operations, in line with legal and company requirements.

This full-time, permanent role follows a 5 from 7 shift pattern with rotating hours 05:30–14:00 and 13:30–22:00. Salary up to £35,370 per annum plus shift premiums and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport supervisory or management role within logistics or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of drivers' hours regulations, tachographs and compliance.
• Experience managing drivers and handling performance and attendance issues.
• Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and collections.
• Monitor vehicle and driver performance and resolve delays or disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with drivers' hours regulations and company procedures.
• Promote health and safety culture and investigate incidents as required.
• Build relationships with drivers, customers, planners and the transport team.
