Job summary

GXO Logistics in Pineham, United Kingdom, is seeking a Transport Team Manager to lead over 100 trucks, 20 rigids and 260 trailers within a diverse transport team, influencing performance, efficacy and customer service.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pineham with a 3 on 3 off night shift pattern (18:00–06:00). The salary is up to £37,738.00 plus a £4,400 night shift premium and 23.5 days of leave, with a company pension, life assurance and access to a benefits platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire Transport Clerical, Shunting, and Driver teams, ensuring effective resource allocation, capability development, and operational performance across the transport function.
• Drive operational excellence, delivering safe, compliant, and efficient transport operations while achieving KPIs and customer service objectives.
• Develop and coach colleagues, creating a high-performing culture focused on engagement, continuous improvement, progression, and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of operational requirements, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Champion safety, compliance, and innovation, promoting health, safety and wellbeing standards.
