Müller UK & Ireland seeks a Transport Shift Lead at the Skelmersdale Depot to lead a shift team, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement in transport operations. You will manage performance, ensure safety, and maintain compliance while delivering against OGSM targets.

The role requires proven transport leadership, a proactive approach, and a commitment to development. CPC in Transport Management is desirable, with attractive benefits and a clear progression path within Müller.

• Ensure legal and audit compliance across shifts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve performance.
• Act as escalation point for farm services issues.
• Promote MMID behaviours and succession planning.
• Lead in meeting DTAS best practices.

Job description

We're looking for a motivated and experienced Transport Shift Lead to join our team at the MullerSkelmersdale Depot. In this pivotal role, you'll lead by example, coach and develop your team, and drive continuous improvement across our transport operations.

• Contract:Full Time / Permanent
• Shift Pattern: -4 on - 4 off (DayShift - 06:00 -18:00)
• Location:Skelmersdale Depot (WN8 8DZ)

Transport Shift Lead Responsibilities

• Lead your team to deliver OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measures) targets.
• Drive operational excellence through KPI management, DOR (Daily Operations Review), and performance coaching.
• Manage people effectively, including performance reviews, development plans, and employee relations.
• Champion health and safety, leading investigations and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Ensure legal and audit compliance across shift operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve business performance.
• Act as the escalation point for farm services issues.
• Promote and embed MMID behaviours and succession planning.
• Lead in meeting the criteria for DTAS best practices

• Proven experience in a transport or logistics leadership role.
