North Somerset Council is seeking a Transport Policy Manager to lead the Transport Policy Team and shape the council’s transport strategies. You will guide policy development, coordinate with partners, and drive delivery on major schemes.

The role requires leadership, strong collaboration with senior officers, and the ability to present compelling business cases for funding. The position offers hybrid working with a mix of office and remote days and opportunities for professional development

Responsabilités

• Review and develop the Council’s transport policies and action plans.
• Ensure sub-regional policies reflect North Somerset's interests.
• Transport policy input to the assessment and master planning of major planning applications/sites.
• Lead the development of complex transport schemes and our 3 year programme.
• Develop business cases for transport schemes ready for delivery through Local Transport Grant or Mayoral Strategic Authority funding.
• Commission transport modelling for appraisal of schemes and development.
