Job summary

Unknown is a consulting engineering practice seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join their growing Bristol Transport Planning team. You will work under the line manager, assisting in expanding the team and delivering multidisciplinary transport projects.

You will apply your experience in Transport Notes, policies, and junction modelling, while mentoring junior staff and liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience producing Transport Notes, Statements and Assessments.
• Understanding of local and transport policy and guidance.
• Competent with junction capacity modelling software (Junctions 10; LinSig/Quickgreen) and TRICS/TEMPro.
• Proficient with GIS packages (QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo; Basemap TRACC).
• Proficient in preliminary highway design using AutoCAD and design guidance.
• Excellent organisation, communication and presentation skills; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to transport planning projects within the Bristol office.
• Mentor junior staff to support training and development.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage project delivery and expectations.
• Support business growth with proactive project leadership and collaboration.
