Job summary

GXO is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our Shared User operation in South Normanton. This full-time role, Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:00, focuses on planning deliveries, routing, and coordinating with drivers, customers and Sales to meet requirements efficiently.

You will build schedules, manage priorities and communicate issues to protect delivery times and service levels while driving continuous improvements in transport operations.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a Transport Planner role or similar transport environment.
• Ability to plan deliveries, routes and communicate effectively with drivers and customers.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign deliveries and routes to drivers, ensuring efficient deliveries.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers and internal teams, updating on delivery times.
• Create and maintain delivery schedules and reports for stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve transport efficiency and service delivery.
