Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Transport Planner to join our team. The role focuses on route planning, cost efficiency, and building strong relationships with customers and drivers to ensure excellent service.

The position is based in the Bunwell/Snetterton area with standard Mon-Fri hours and some flexibility. You will work with a small team to drive efficiency, manage subcontractor costs, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering reliable transport operations and timely updates to

Qualifications

• Experience of working as a Transport Planner or similar operational role, performing route planning with strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Knowledge of WTD regulations is essential
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and experience of using a transport planning tool

Responsibilities

• Provide final route plans to the warehouse operation within the agreed timescale to allow for picking in a timely manner
• Ensure that the legislation regarding EU Drivers hours regulations is being followed
• Deal with customer issues and monitor drivers' daily progress, updating the customer as required
• Ensure that the sub-contractor costs are in line with our agreed rates, ensuring the maximum benefit is being secured and that any subcontractor financial queries are resolved in a timely manner
