Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transport Planner for our Shared User operation in South Normanton. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 14:00–22:00, focusing on planning, routing, and meeting customer requirements in a cost-efficient way.

You will work with drivers, Customer Services and Sales to maintain schedules, anticipate issues, and improve overall service. Salary is £30,000 with benefits and 25 days leave.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a Transport Planner role or similar transport environment.
• Proactive in problem solving with strong analytical skills.
• Confident communication with drivers, customers and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign deliveries and routes to drivers, ensuring customer requirements are met cost-effectively.
• Coordinate with drivers and customers, maintaining relationships and communicating issues.
• Work with Customer Services and Sales to ensure accurate order information and timely updates.
• Create and maintain delivery schedules, reports, and records for internal and customer access.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while seeking transport efficiency improvements.
