Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Stoke on Trent is seeking a Transport Planner to help deliver efficient and cost-effective network transport plans. You will create routes, allocate vehicles and driver resources to meet planning deadlines.

A typical day includes maintaining KPIs and SLAs, liaising with stores, building relationships through customer service, and ensuring SOPs are followed. Experience in transport planning and proficiency in Excel are essential; Paragon is desirable.

Qualifications

• Transport planning experience is required or desired.
• Experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics environment is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer literacy, including Excel.
• Experience using Paragon is desirable.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Create routes and allocate vehicles and driver resources to meet planning deadlines.
• Maintain KPIs and SLAs.
• Liaise with Stores on a regular basis.
• Build relationships through customer service.
• Be the customer contact point and manage communications.
• Ensure work instructions and SOPs are followed and checklists adhered to.
