Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United Kingdom is seeking a Planner to join our growing transport team. The role is based in Wednesbury (West Midlands) or Bootle (Liverpool) and involves coordinating daily transport operations, improving network efficiency, and ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time.

You'll work with Paragon and other planning tools, contribute to continuous improvement, and engage with various sites, suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Previous transport planning experience in a Supply Chain environment is essential.
• Experience using Paragon planning software is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and reasoning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stay disciplined, focused and organised with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver efficient transport network plans using TMS and Paragon.
• Build and optimise loads, routes, trips, vehicle and driver allocations.
• Monitor daily transport operations and ensure SOPs and checklists are followed.
• Manage delivery point communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Analyse planning data to identify improvements and support continuous improvement.
• Support Plan/Do/Review activities and drive performance actions.
• Manage subcontracted transport with DHL operations and external providers.
• Support new customer implementations and knowledge sharing.
