Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Transport Planner for our Shared User operation in South Normanton. This full-time, permanent role runs Monday to Friday, 14:00-22:00, coordinating deliveries and routes to meet customer requirements in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

The role involves working with drivers, Customer Services and Sales to maintain an efficient transport operation, proactively addressing issues and building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a Transport Planner role or similar environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify practical solutions.
• Effective communication with drivers, customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign deliveries and routes to drivers to meet customer requirements efficiently.
• Coordinate with drivers and customers, maintaining relationships and communicating issues.
• Work with Customer Services and Sales to ensure accurate order information and timely updates.
• Create and maintain delivery schedules and reports to keep information available for customers and internal teams.
• Manage multiple priorities and identify opportunities to improve transport efficiency and service.
