Job summary

Stobart (Part of the Culina Group) is seeking a Night Transport Planner to manage the day-to-day planning of transport operations across multiple UK depots. You will create efficient plans, resolve issues quickly, and contribute to continuous improvement while supporting peak-period demands.

The role requires prior transport planning experience, strong UK geographic knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office. A CPC is desirable but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Transport planning experience required.
• Good knowledge of UK geography.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• CPC desirable but not required.
• Experience planning 100+ tractor units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication under pressure.
• Customer-focused on delivery performance.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness.
• Experience using a TMS system.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee day-to-day transport planning activities.
• Coordinate plans across sites and bases within the Culina network.
• Manage KPIs and logistics performance metrics.
• Communicate effectively with transport and warehouse teams.
• Work on a 4-on, 4-off night shift pattern and adapt to peak periods.

Qualifications

Job Description

As Transport Planner you will contribute to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation.
