Transport Planner

Temp to Perm Contract

Paying between £30,000 - £35,000 per year.

Monday to Friday, 12:00pm – 8:30pm (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break).

Based in Basildon (SS15).

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to work for a leading Freight Forwarding and Logistics organisation based in Basildon (SS15).

This is an initial temporary position, with the view to become permanent.

Duties of the Transport Planner will include:

·Plan all routes for collections and deliveries.

·Processing and preparation of documentation.

·Handle any discrepancies and complaints with precision and professionalism.

·Participate in drivers’ reviews.

·Navigate delays and minimise stop times to ensure operational excellence.

·Organise driver and vehicle schedules.

·Maximise load capacity.

Experience required for the Transport Planner:

·Previous experience in a Transport role is essential.

·Experience in multi-drop is necessary for this role.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

·Strong attention to detail.

·Excellent communication skills.

Candidates will need to have a 5-year checkable work history and a clean criminal record.
