Transport Planner Position in Horley

Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their growing team in Horley. This is an ideal role for someone who is organized, reliable, and confident in planning and managing daily transport operations.

What’s in it for you?

• Monday to Friday with flexible shift times: 6am-3pm, 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm
• £26,000 - £31,000 per annum DOE
• 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, with 3 days allocated for Christmas shutdown
• Overtime available every other Saturday, paid at enhanced rates
• Free onsite parking
• Company Pension (contributory scheme)

The Role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.

Key duties include:

• Planning daily transport routes efficiently to optimize time and resources
• Working closely with engineers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure schedules run smoothly
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and updating PL01 records
• Dealing with issues or delays promptly and adjusting plans as needed
• Building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and customers
