Job Description

We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our Consumer Beverage sector at our Rugby site.

As a Transport Planner, you will contribute to the success of the transport team by overseeing the daily planning functions of our transport operations. We seek a highly motivated individual with experience in fast-paced environments who can handle daily challenges effectively and develop efficient transport plans.

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 19:00

Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum

Key Duties of a Transport Planner
  • Collaborate with Transport and Warehouse teams to create efficient transport plans using the latest TMS.
  • Assemble over 400 consolidated orders into loads each 24 hours.
  • Plan and coordinate orders from multiple warehouses and manufacturing sites across the UK, including subcontracting where necessary.
  • Schedule daily fleet workload, including vehicles based on-site and outbases.
  • Report issues, resolve problems, and handle queries promptly.
  • Plan approximately 100 collections daily on a time-critical basis.
  • Maintain and exceed agreed KPIs.
  • Proactively seek continuous improvements.
  • Make decisions under pressure within tight timeframes.
  • Adapt flexibly to meet business needs, especially during peak periods.
  • Utilize the Culina Group network efficiently to support volume demands.
Qualifications
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in planning units across multiple depots.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong customer focus on delivery performance.
  • Commercially and financially astute, driven to deliver exceptional results.
  • Experience with TMS systems.
  • Experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel formulas.
