Our client in Harlow is seeking a competent and highly organised Traffic Planner with a strong background in vehicle coordination. The ideal candidate should have good geographical knowledge of the UK. As the company is expanding, this is a great opportunity to develop your career. Main duties will include:

  • Route planning for collections and deliveries.
  • Supporting and working alongside the Transport Manager.
  • Managing both the General Haulage and Pallet Network sides of the business.
  • Covering the Pallet Network router during holidays.
  • Monitoring drivers' progress throughout the day to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Preparing paperwork and manifests for routes.
  • Liaising with customers and other transport companies across the country to arrange backloads.

The right candidate will:

  • Have experience working in a busy traffic office with a team of 5.
  • Possess good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Work well under pressure and understand the demands of a transport office.
  • Be self-motivated with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn.
  • Preferably have an understanding of drivers' hours.
  • Hold an HGV and/or forklift licence (preferred but not essential).

In return, we offer:

  • A salary of £30,000, increasing to £35,000 after a successful 3-month probation.
  • Working hours: 8 am - 6 pm (45 hours per week).
