Job description

Job Title: Transport Operator

Shift: Nights: 4 on 4 off

Location: Kegworth

Are you an experienced Transport Operations Supervisor looking for a new opportunity to join an established and successful Transport Business with a network of over 30 depots across the UK?

The Vacancy

• Day-to-day management of Transport Operations, including planners, clerks, and drivers, delivering on pre-planned routes and organizing ad-hoc amendments as required.
• Overseeing operations of the depot fleet, ensuring vehicle and driver compliance.

Responsibilities include dealing with multiple drivers, communicating with depots, booking delivery slots for port entries, using the TOPS transport system to input driver start and finish times, chasing drivers for ETAs, rerouting jobs as needed, checking PODs against system records, communicating with customers about delays, and ensuring delivery of exceptional customer service.

You should be confident, quick, and capable, with a good working knowledge of the UK road network, computerised traffic systems, and drivers' hours legislation.
