Job summary

Serve Talent is seeking a Transport Operator in Shoeburyness/ Southend-On-Sea to provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Transport department. You will maintain compliance documents, vehicle records, and cost data, while liaising with customers and drivers to ensure the delivery plan runs smoothly.

The role focuses on handling PCNs, fleet tax payments, on-time renewals, and accurate data entry in cost sheets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a transport or administrative environment would be beneficial.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good attention to detail, particularly when maintaining records and documentation.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and drivers.
• Self-motivated and able to manage your own time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Transport department.
• Maintain compliance documentation, vehicle records and cost data.
• Communicate with customers and drivers to keep delivery plans on track.
• Log, process and pay or challenge PCNs within required timescales.
• Manage road tax (VED) payments and renewals for the fleet.
• Update workshop cost forms in Excel and input data into cost sheets.
• Monitor fuel usage figures and raise discrepancies with the manager.
• Provide driver updates to customers and send afternoon ETAs.
• Act as primary contact for day-to-day transport queries.
