Job summary

XPO in Ilkeston is recruiting for a Transport Administrator to support transport operations at a customer site in Derbyshire. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:00pm, with training provided and potential progression through a Level 2 Traffic Operator Apprenticeship.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong organisational and IT skills, and effective communication, with a welcoming, inclusive team environment and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous transport experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Level 2 Traffic Operator Apprenticeship will be available.

Responsibilities

• Processing carrier and transport orders.
• General data entry and system updates.
• Scanning documentation and filing accurately.
• Searching for and managing PODs (Proof of Delivery).
• Handling email and telephone queries from customers and carriers.
• Supporting the transport team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
