Job summary

XPO Logistics - Daikin Contract is seeking a confident Traffic Operator for the Daventry evening shift. You will support drivers, coordinate trailers and monitor trunking operations in a busy transport office environment.

The role focuses on routing next-day multi-drop deliveries, updating records, and collaborating with warehouse and depots. Training is provided, with overtime opportunities and a friendly team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience in a traffic/transport office or similar environment preferred.
• Strong communicator with drivers, depots and warehouse teams.
• Calm, organized and able to think on your feet.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
• Willing to learn; full training provided for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Allocate vehicles and trailers.
• Brief and debrief drivers.
• Monitor departures and liaise with other XPO depots.
• Work closely with warehouse and customer service teams.
• Update systems and keep accurate records.
• Handle live issues like delays, breakdowns or loading problems.
• Support the evening trunking operation.
• Route next-day multi-drop deliveries (training provided).
• Provide updates to the Operations Supervisor/Manager.

Hours: 14:00-23:00, Monday-Friday

Pay: £14.42 per hour + pre-authorised overtime

You will be right at the centre of the action - working with drivers, the warehouse, and other XPO depots to keep our trunking operation running smoothly. You will also be involved in routing next-day multi-drop runs in the local and surrounding area, with full training provided.

What You'll Be Doing
