Job summary

Solvit Recruitment is seeking a Transport Office / Warehouse supervisor for a permanent role in the East Midlands. You will oversee warehouse staff and drivers (about 30 people) and ensure vans and trucks depart on time, resolving issues as they arise.

In the afternoon you will plan routes for the next day and perform office duties. This role demands strong leadership and experience in logistics planning; in-house systems training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Extensive previous experience in a similar role within the logistics sector.
• Proactive participation in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Driver management experience.
• Experience in full and part-load planning.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse staff and around 30 employees to ensure on-time dispatch.
• Lead route planning for next day and coordinate with drivers.
• Perform general office duties and admin tasks.
• Ensure all vehicle systems are compliant, roadworthy, and meet safety requirements.
