Job summary

Solvit Recruitment is seeking a Transport Office / Warehouse supervisor for a permanent role in the East Midlands. You will oversee warehouse staff and drivers (about 30 people) and ensure vans and trucks depart on time, resolving issues as they arise.

In the afternoon you will plan routes for the next day and perform office duties. This role demands strong leadership and experience in logistics planning; in-house systems training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Job description

Solvit Recruitment are on the lookout for a Transport Office / Warehouse.

Permanent Position.

This is Monday to Friday 06:30 - 14:30 - 40 hours per week.

£29.515 p.a

You will be working with a well-known company, who are now looking for their next long term Transport Office / Warehouse.

You will start your day in the warehouse attending and leading the warehouse staff and drivers around 30 employees. Your duties will be to make sure the Vans and Trucks go out on time and deal with any issues, in the afternoon you will be in the office doing the route planning for the next day and general office duties. You will have strong leadership duties.

Previous experience in logistics planning is essential, you will be trained on their in house systems.

Requirements.

• Ensuring full compliance with all transport regulations
• Responsible for ensuring all vehicle systems are working, are vehicle legal, roadworthy & compliant with organisational procedures & that all relevant legal, safety & operating requirements are met.
• Ensuring all vehicles are out on time.
• Promote collaboration & positive teamwork
• Complete all necessary administration duties in a timely manner
