Job summary

Pertemps Leeds is seeking a proactive Transport Coordinator to join a busy logistics operation in Thirsk. The role supports a 24/7 transport office handling day-to-day operations for around 30 drivers, 9 trucks and 2 shunters.

The ideal candidate will have transport or logistics administration experience, be proficient with transport systems, and able to work flexibly to meet operational needs. Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, temp-to-perm.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a transport, logistics or supply chain environment.
• Comfortable using transport systems and IT
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the First Line Manager with daily transport office operations.
• Meet and greet drivers on arrival and handle paperwork.
• Assist goods-in and goods-out activities and general admin.
• Coordinate around 30 drivers, 9 trucks and 2 shunters as part of a 24/7 operation.
• Maintain accurate transport records and Microlise data.
