Bis Henderson is recruiting a Transport Manager to lead a busy 3PL transport operation, overseeing a fleet of 38 Class 1 vehicles in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This hands-on leadership role delivers safe, compliant and efficient transport, driving service performance, cost control and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will hold a CPC, be confident using transport systems and data, and turn operational insight into effective decision-making to maximise performance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Transport Manager or similar leadership role in a fast-paced logistics/3PL.
• CPC qualification is essential.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation, fleet compliance and driver hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transport operation for a 38-class-1 fleet in a busy 3PL environment.
• Ensure compliance with operator licences, DVSA rules, hours and directives.
• Coach and support drivers to maintain safety, service and performance.
• Oversee vehicle compliance, maintenance planning and incident management.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse data and report trends and risks.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to hit service targets.
