Job summary

Palletforce invites applications for an HGV Class 2 Driver role based in Newbury. You will deliver products to customers, maintain safety and compliance, and support operations across the transport office with accurate records.

Ideal candidates hold Class 2 licence with CPC and Tacho Card, and have experience in multi-drop and refrigeration. Weekend work may be required; competitive salary plus bonuses and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional driving service meeting customer expectations; adhere to health and safety standards.
• Weekend work may be required and 3.5t driving during peak periods.

THE ROLE: HGV Class 2 Driver | Full Time | Newbury

Your drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 2 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

THE SALARY:

• Competitive salary
• £50 a week attendance and accident bonus

LOCATION:

This role will be based at our site in Newbury.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Various HGV driving duties, including daily checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use, complying with vehicle security and standing procedures at all times.
• Manage the hand held terminals and be able to record accurate information.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office.
• Report any delivery issues in a timely manner to the Transport Office.
• Provide a professional driving service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Ensure health and safety standards are adhered at all times
• You may be required to drive 3.5t vehicles during peak periods.
• Able to work weekends.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Qualifications: Class 2 Driving Licence (C+E), Valid CPC, Digital Tacho Card. HGV/LGC Class licence.
• Experience: Previous experience is essential. Refrigeration and multi drop experience would be beneficial. Will have completed a CPC Training Course and have a strong geographical and logistical knowledge.
• Communication: You will have good communication skills, spoken and written.
• Influence & Persuasion: Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers.
• Planning & Organisation: You will be adaptable in your start and finish times and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
