Job summary

Keyline Civils Specialist is hiring an HGV Driver (Class 2) in Widnes, Cheshire. The role focuses on local multi-drop deliveries, safe loading, and maintaining a clean, compliant vehicle.

Training for HIAB is fully funded if needed, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or overnights, a competitive salary, and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Category C Class 2 licence required.
• CPC (DQC) up to date.
• Recent HGV driving experience preferred.
• Good customer service and relationship skills.
• Safety-focused and professional on the road.

Responsibilities

• Move stock from branches to customers, ensuring safety and professionalism.
• Load HIAB-equipped vehicle; training funded if needed.
• Ensure vehicle is loaded correctly, legal, and safe; perform pre-trip checks.
• Conduct local multi-drop deliveries and reload at branches.
• Assist with loading/unloading and vehicle cleanliness; uphold safety standards.

What will you be doing?

You'll be moving stock like civils, heavy building materials, and drainage solutions from our branches to customers, all while keeping it safe and professional. You'll load up your vehicle with a HIAB (lorry-mounted crane) - don't have the licence yet? No problem! We'll fully fund your training to get you up to speed. You'll make sure your vehicle’s loaded right, safe, and legal, plus do vehicle checks before hitting the road. Expect plenty of local multi-drop deliveries, with regular returns to the branch to reload. You'll also pitch in with loading, unloading, and keeping your vehicle clean and tidy. Above all, safety comes first, and you'll make sure our standards never slip.

Who you are

• You’ve got a Category C Class 2 driving licence
• Your CPC (DQC Card) is up to date
• You’ve got recent HGV driving experience (if you've worked with a lorry loader/crane, even better, but not a deal-breaker)
• You’re comfortable chatting with customers and building solid relationships
• You take safety seriously and always work in a professional and safe way
• You’re passionate about delivering for customers
• You’ve got the drive and ambition to be part of a great team
