DHL seeks a Transport First Line Manager to lead a new Wednesbury operation. You will guide a transport team to deliver a safe, compliant and high-performing service on a Monday–Friday day shift.

You will drive engagement, manage day-to-day operations, and liaise with the wider management team to build a strong one-team culture at the site.

Qualifikationen

• Previous transport management experience at First Line Manager level (e.g., Team Leader, Supervisor).
• Exposure to Tachomaster and Microlise systems.
• Strong understanding of driving rules and regulations.

• Ensure transport activities are completed safely, legally and in line with SLA, KPI and compliance requirements.
• Manage day-to-day transport operations, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
• Act as the first point of contact for driver and colleague queries, supporting absence, performance, investigations and wellbeing.
• Drive colleague engagement through EOS action plans, regular communication and driver forums.
• Maintain compliance across all transport systems (Microlise and Tachomaster), processes, Health & Safety and OMS standards.
• Deliver team member performance reviews and succession planning with coaching.

Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Launch something new with DHL. We're seeking a proactive Transport First Line Manager to help build and lead a brand-new operation in Wednesbury. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead, coach and develop the Transport team to deliver a safe, engaged and high-performing operation
• Ensure transport activities are completed safely, legally and in line with SLA, KPI and compliance requirements
• Manage day-to-day transport operations, resolving issues quickly and effectively
• Act as the first point of contact for driver and colleague queries, supporting absence, performance, investigations and wellbeing
• Drive colleague engagement through EOS action plans, regular communication and driver forums
• Maintain compliance across all transport systems (Microlise and Tachomaster), processes, Health & Safety and OMS standards
• Deliver team member performance reviews (1-2-1's), development and/or succession planning, providing coaching as appropriate
• Work closely with the wider management team to deliver operational excellence and a strong "one team" culture

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Previous Transport management experience at First Line Manager, Team Leader, Supervisor level, is essential
• Previous Transport planning experience would be desirable
• CPC holder would be desirable, but not essential
• Strong understanding of driving rules and regulations
• Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
• Exposure to Tachomaster and Microlise systems
• Proven interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
• Able to challenge in the right way and influence decisions
