Job summary

TUI in Southampton is seeking a Transport Executive to support the Turnarounds and Shore Excursions teams by planning and booking transportation to meet deadlines. You will liaise with transport suppliers, source new partners, and help optimise service dates for cost efficiency.

Ideal candidates are strong in Excel, data analysis, and English communication, capable of working independently or with a team. The role offers training and opportunities within a diverse, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist transportation planning and liaise with transport suppliers.
• Source new transport suppliers and negotiate rates.
• Identify key dates to optimize service usage.
• Support booking process after vehicles allocated.
• Ensure transfer bookings are confirmed by suppliers.
• Monitor transportation requirements and cancellations.
• Provide day-to-day operational support to the transport team.
• Produce costing sheets and verify costs.
• Check supplier invoices match bookings.
• Resolve discrepancies with suppliers and accounts.
• Learn and maintain in-house systems/database.
• Carry out ad hoc administrative tasks.

Join our Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services team in Southampton as a Transport Executive where you will be working closely with the Turnarounds and Shore Excursions departments to ensure all transportation requirements have been planned and booked within deadlines.

About The Job

• Assist in the transportation planning process - contacting and liaising with transport suppliers
• Sourcing new transport suppliers where required and negotiating rates
• Identifying key dates, where services can be used in the most efficient way
• Support booking process once vehicles have been allocated
• Ensuring all transfer bookings have been confirmed by suppliers
• Monitor transportation requirements, additional bookings and cancellations
• Supporting the wider team with any day-to-day operational needs, related to transport.
• Produce costing sheets and check costs are accurately inserted
• Check supplier invoices match related bookings
• Query discrepancies with suppliers and accounts department, if necessary
• Learn how to use in house systems/database
• Maintenance and updating of in-house systems/database
• Ad Hoc Administrative Tasks

About You

• Commercial awareness and acumen
• High Level Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Able to methodically analyse data
• Very organized, with the ability to work independently or in a team
• High customer service and communication skills
• Ability to solve problems and multitask
• High level of concentration, accuracy and flexibility
• Professional telephone manner
• High level of written and spoken English. All other languages are a bonus
